Install the first panel 0.98 inches over the Jemifix welding tape. The Jemifix tape is adhered to the substrate with Jemifix weld tape adhesive.

Install the second panel spaced apart from the first panel to give you a joint as wide as a quarter (0.07 inches/1.8mm), no bigger, no smaller. Make sure the jemiclad has a clean bond to the tape.

To finish the joint:

1. remove protective film and wipe down with Jemiclad anti-static solution
2. fuse panels together with Jemiclad matching weld rod—pre-cut the weld rod with the 0.5 guide on a mozart knife
3. Finish with one final cut with a mozart knife

A Jemiclad Start and Edge trim is used to cap off unfinished edges.

This trim comes in every color to compliment the range.

This trim has an overall thickness of 6mm and gives a great lip to get a structural silicone joint.

Jemifix silicone also comes in every color to match the range.

Every inside and outside corner gets thermoformed, unless the client has chosen to use Jemiclad Pro finish inside and outside plant on corners.

A certified Jemiclad installer brings a Jemiclad thermoformer to site and fabricates every inside and outside corner on the jobsite.

This specification is fine for semi-dry areas. If you’re worried about water, always overlap the sheet vinyl with Jemiclad.

The Jemiclad vinyl trim gives the flooring contractor a capping to trim and fit sheet vinyl into.

This method is a must for wet areas!

Sheet vinyl is installed 2 inches higher than the client’s specified flash cove height. The sheet vinyl is installed with no finishing capping, just the neat edge.

The vinyl must be very well bonded on the flash cove as the Jemiclad is bonding onto the sheet vinyl.

Jemiclad is installed 2 inches past the sheet vinyl—this will allow water to run over onto the flash cove—no trim is used in the detail.

The front and back edge is trimmed clean with an aris front and back, a 15mm line of Jemifix clear sealant is run to the back edge of the panel, pressure is applied to the wall and the overspill is cleaned off.

Install Jemiclad 2–4mm from the top of the tile to allow the sealant to toe in.

Remove protective film and clean down with Jemiclad anti-static solution. Prime joint with Alu primer, overfill joint with Jemiclad sealant and tool off neatly.

Make sure that once the Jemiclad is installed, the skirting tiles are at least 4–6mm in front of the Jemiclad to guarantee a good bond and structural joint.

If the Jemiclad ends up flush to the skirting tiles, install a start and edge trim, then seal from underneath.

Install a Jemiclad resin trim to the agreed cove height. This allows the resin flooring contractor to protect the trim and trowel finish a resin floor to Jemiclad.

This detail is for areas that are not cleaned with excessive amounts of water!

For processing plants, wet areas (showers etc.), you must overlay the resin cove by 50mm (see our shower detail)

If the Jemiclad is installed to the floor, sheet vinyl can be installed on top. The flooring contractor is to specify cove base, capping trim and adhesive to be used.

Install Jemiclad onto Jemifix double-sided tape, keeping the joint 4mm apart using a 4mm spacer.

Finishing the joint, remove protective film and wipe down with Jemiclad anti-static solution and prime the joint with Alu prime.

Just prior to finishing, install masking tape down both side of the joint, overfill the joint with Jemiclad sealant, use a filling knife to remove the excess sealant flush to the panels. Remove the masking tape within 30 seconds of applying sealant.

This is a good way to tank off the wall substrate by installing Jemiclad to the floor and finish with Jemiclad sealant.

It is the responsibility of the tile installer to choose method of fixing, they just need to know Jemiclad is non-porous and smooth.

The top of the tile can be primed and finished with Jemiclad sealant.

Install Jemiclad 2–4mm from the door detail to allow Jemiclad finish sealant to toe into the gap and become structural.

If there is door detail that the install needs to finish against, cap off Jemiclad with a start and edge trim.

1. Finish Jemiclad 2mm–4mm from frame to allow Jemiclad sealant to toe in.

2. Remove Jemiclad protection and clean down with Jemiclad anti-static solution.

3. Prime the gap with Alumprime as per instructions, then insert Jemiclad sealant and finish neatly.

4. Keep area clean until the sealant is fully cured—cure times vary with jobsite conditions, and remember that some colors take longer to cure than others.

Install Jemiclad 4–6 inches from a structural joint (don’t exceed).

1. If the jointing method is down for a hot weld—sorry, it can’t be done! Use a cold weld detail…
2. If the install calls for joint strip as a jointing method, just keep a joint strip 4–6 inches away.

Fabricate an 18 gauge stainless steel ‘U’ shape capping with welded corners cleaned off flush. Make sure all edge are blunt and safe for cleaning.

Otherwise, arrange with your client how to finish and use either a Jemiclad F trim 1½ angle or thermoform the edges.

This is down to the client and installer to arrange.

1. When your achieved height of Jemiclad exceeds 3m, you need to add to the panel. You can use a joint strip or hot weld the joint.

2. The maximum sheet height is 3m. A larger panel can be ordered in, Jemiclad Pro or Jemiclad Cocina Clad, 12 weeks notice is required.

Jointing profiles have the maximum length of 3m, except Jemiclad Weld Rod comes in coils of (at least) 50m to 300m.

A Jemiclad start and edge trim is used to cap off unfinished edges. This is very good to finish off Jemiclad installed short to the ceiling or wainscoting to dado height.

Jemiclad can be jointed with our PVC strip, any colour can be used to do this. The dark grey one is a good match.

Remember to keep Jemiclad away from hot appliances by 18 inches.

Jemiclad is hot welded to 2mm sheet flooring (PVC only).

Our preferred method is to install Jemiclad first, followed by sheet vinyl. Jemiclad and vinyl is installed flush with our Flash cove kit with a gap of 1.8mm or the thickness of a quarter, the joint is hot welded and the trimmed off almost flush.
